MENU FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 3, 2020

The two hits of this last week were the grilled lambwith mint pesto and, of course, the lobster. The grilled potato packs were also extremely good, and something quitedifferent.  I’ll do these again!

We are  keepingour fingers crossed vis a vis our tomatoes. Our grape/cherry tomatoes are starting to produce (our first born asgarnish for the asparagus vinaigrette) and our mid crop topsy turvy plants havenew green tomatoes growing.  However,I’ll hold my breath.  Too many times I’veseen these plants start out, and then fail before bearing fruit.  The topsy turvy planters seem to be workingout, although they do require frequent watering.  If these succeed, I’ll do several more nextyear.  I also have a very small cucumberpeering out from the side of a pot…small, but hopeful.

It is hotter than hell here today, and the weatherpromises to stay that way for at least most of the week. In the mid to high90’s we have to bite the bullet and turn on the AC.  While I enjoy being comfortable, I resentevery cent I have to pay to the out of control untilities…...
