MENU FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 2, 2009

We did survive Halloween – now on to Thanksgiving. Our focus at the moment is getting the house ready and organized  to absorb 11 guests.  And also to begin to stock the Thanksgiving larder.  I am thinking menu thoughts, but still only in generalities.  This year we will be trying to tweek the menu to accommodate at 6 year old grand nephew who has been diagnosed at Type I Diabetes without loosing all of the traditions of the last few decades.

In any case, the feline Julia Child will not be happy with all of the goings on and will, of course, demand her pound of flesh.  Which, in her case, is shrimp…
